Examples of wildflower bouquets

Create a beautiful wildflower bouquet using gorgeous seasonal and locally sourced flowers. You’ll learn the spiral bouquet method, and how to bind and wrap your bouquet. Experience a creative evening at the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill, and enjoy a cocktail or mocktail too!

Our designs will include flowers and grasses cut from NEBGTH’s cutting garden and meadows, and from local flower farms. Perfect for beginners and experienced flower lovers alike.

Participants should bring their own clippers, a limited number will be available for use. All other materials will be provided.

December 13, 2025 - Winter Holiday Floral Centerpiece

Holiday centerpiece shown in traditional red/green palette (blue/whote palette also available) . This is a sample arrangement only, what we make depends on flowers purchased just before our workshop.

Join us for a festive floral design workshop where you'll create a holiday floral arrangement, perfect for a table centerpiece or your mantel. We’re using traditional as well as unexpected flowers and unique foliage. Registrants can choose either a red-green palette or a blue-white palette (Chanukah is December 14 this year!).

All ability levels are welcome and all supplies will be provided, along .with a light coffee & tea service.  Enjoy creative fun and learn basic floral design principles.

Create a stunning Ikebana-style floral arrangement using local summer blooms and a pin-frog in a ceramic bowl.  Learn floral design principles, sip a cocktail or mocktail, and enjoy a mindful, creative evening at the New England Botanic Garden at Tower Hill.

Our designs will include gorgeous, locally grown summer blooms, including some we cut at NEBGTH’s cutting garden!   We'll learn key Ikebana principles to guide the floral design process.

May 11, 2024 - Kokedama Workshop with Forced Bulbs

Examples of kokedama moss ball and suitable houseplants to use.

Make two kokedama "moss ball" designs using forced houseplants, succulents, spring bulbs and moss.  Your kokedama can be hung or displayed in a bowl. Learn the mechanics of assembly, suitable plants, resources and care instructions. 1-1/2 hour program.    

Note: Please bring your own clippers, all other supplies provided. This is a fun but messy project, please wear your “play clothes” and bring gloves (if you like gloves).

March 9 - Spring is Almost Here Floral Workshop

Celebrate the return of Spring with an early spring arrangement in a rustic birch container.

Celebrate the coming of spring by making a floral arrangement comprised of flowering branches, early spring flowers (think tulips and hellebores), evergreens and other foliage.  Mechanics will be chicken wire in a rustic birch bark container (all reusable).  Join us and enjoy mindfulness via flower arranging.

Dec 10 - Pot et Fleur Dish Garden

Celebrate the winter holidays with a mixed floral/evergreen arrangement.

'Pot et fleur' arrangements combine potted plants with cut flowers and give you the best of both worlds: easy-care foliage houseplants combined with seasonal flowers.  This seasonal arrangement is made in a lined basket and can easily be refreshed and maintained for several weeks.  Learn suitable plants, mechanics for the cut flowers, and sources of supplies.  Make your own 'pot et fleur' to grace your home for the winter holidays or as a gift.   

Please bring your own clippers.  All other supplies will be provided.  Sign up soon, class size is limited!
